NSW: Charges upgraded for teenage driver over fatal crash

LISMORE, April 28 AAP - The Office of the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions has upgraded
charges against a teenage driver who crashed his car in northern NSW, killing four of
his mates.

The now 19-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had been facing four
charges of dangerous driving.

However, the four charges have now been upgraded to aggravated dangerous driving occasioning
death, carrying a maximum penalty of 14 years jail for each count.
