Carnegie-Stout Public Library is inviting the public to sign upfor a free library card or to replace a lost card through May 15.
The usual $2 fee is being waived before a new policy isimplemented. The revised policy requires all patrons to have theirown library card or photo identification with them to check outmaterial or access the Internet.
Whether replacing or applying for a new card, applicants arerequired to provide official identification such as a driver'slicense, birth certificate or photo identification, and proof ofresidence such as a voting card, utility bill, recently postmarkedmail or a check with an imprinted address.
