FED: One stop link to aged care services launched by Minister

Older Australians and their families will be able to access a wide range of information
about aged care services through a phone call or visit to a Commonwealth Carelink Centre
shopfront.

Launching the initiative in Sydney today, Aged Care Minister BRONWYN BISHOP says the
Carelink service is a much-needed link to the large array of aged care services available.

Mrs BISHOP says it's clear that for many Australians and their families, gaining access
to information can be a very time consuming and frustrating task.

She says these centres will now make it easier for older Australians to be linked to
the right community care and aged care information and services.

Mrs BISHOP says there will be more than 60 shopfronts around the country, all linked
by the single Freecall 1800 052 222.
