Fed: Qantas agree to three-day stand-down truce
Qantas has reached a three-day truce with maintenance unions, agreeing to stop thestand-downs which caused massive walkouts in Sydney last week.
About 400 workers have been stood down at maintenance plants in Sydney and Melbournesince Friday, as the airline stepped up its response to a five-month union ban on overtime.
The bans were a protest against Qantas' proposed wage freeze.
